The Albert Park Singers are a friendly mixed choir in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. We perform at several informal concerts during the year. We sing a wide variety of popular and traditional songs, light classical and show tunes. Please have a look at our music page to see what we’re currently singing and for some examples of pieces we’ve performed in the past. New members of all ages and abilities are welcome and no audition is required. We offer an initial taster session without obligation, so why not try a rehearsal to see if it’s for you?

Banbury Choral Society was founded in 1942 during the dark days of World War II and celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2017. Over that time and to this day, the choir has staged numerous concerts in Banbury and North Oxfordshire and has helped to bring pleasure to many people. At present, the choir has around 90 members with numbers increasing monthly. We are a supportive and friendly choir that welcomes enthusiastic singers of all ages. We believe singing is a shared experience that should be fun, engaging and rewarding. There is no audition, we simply ask that members can sing in tune and commit to practice.

We are a friendly, enthusiastic and thriving choir of over 100 singers, based in Wallingford in South Oxfordshire. Although we are a non-auditioned choir, we set ourselves high musical standards and are ambitious to improve to the full extent of our potential.

Chipping Norton and District Choral Society (CNCS) exists to provide amateur singers with the chance to sing varied and exciting choral works together in a supportive and friendly environment. Our first rehearsal, as the Chipping Norton Choral Society and Singing Club, was on Wednesday, 15th May 1872. Recent concerts have included John Rutter’s Magnificat, Johann Sebastian Bach’s St John Passion, Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man, and Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.

Cumnor Choral Society started in 1958 and has been performing two concerts each year ever since (Apart from during The Pandemic). We welcome new singers. There is no voice test, you just need a love of singing, a commitment to turning up for rehearsals, ability to sight read a bonus.

Didcot Choral Society was founded in 1958, and over half a century later we continue to perform a wide range of music throughout the year. There is no audition, the ability to sight read is not a necessity and new members are always welcome. The Society is a mixed voice choir of around 60 singers, drawn from Didcot and surrounding towns and villages. It encourages participation in choral singing for all ages and abilities, including those who have never sung in choirs before and many very experienced singers.

Eynsham Choral Society (ECS) is a community choir. It was founded in 1980 by a small group who wanted to improve their singing technique and perform locally. The choir members come from a wide area, including Oxford, Witney and Burford as well as Eynsham.

We’re a friendly mixed-voices choir that meets for practice every Thursday. Typically, we put on Easter, Summer, and Christmas Concerts that are held in local venues , and raise funds for local charities. If you enjoy singing and have reasonable sight-reading abilities, then please do consider joining the Singers.

Henley Choral Society is a friendly, lively, non-auditioned choir of all ages. We aim to sing together to the highest standard, work with young professional talent, deliver an exciting and varied programme of concerts to the local community and encourage the next generation of singers. Lord Williams’s Festival Chorus is a long established choir in Thame. We are a friendly choir, which gladly welcomes new members. We have a secure local base and we are looking forward to an exciting future. Our numbers are growing (120 plus now) but we always welcome new faces and voices. You do not need to audition to join us but we do ask that you share our enthusiasm for choral music and its performance.

We are a lively and friendly SATB choir of about 50 singers based in Witney, West Oxfordshire, with an enthusiastic and inspiring Music Director. Meeting weekly on Monday evenings to rehearse, we perform several concerts a year at local venues.

The choir is currently drawn from an active pool of 50+ singers with individual performances typically mustering 20-30 voices depending on repertoire. There is a core group of nearly 30 singers who have sung with NC3 for over 15 years. Most singers are drawn from within a 30 mile radius of Chipping Norton. We are most definitely not an ‘Oxford’ choir or wishing to compete or participate in the lively Oxford city music scene, although some members also sing in Oxford and further afield.
All singers are initially auditioned prior to joining the choir and are expected to be competent sight-readers, able to hold a line, and to prepare music between rehearsals.

A Community choir based in the village of Sutton Courtenay, Oxfordshire. We support the arts, culture, and community wellbeing in South Oxfordshire. As a non-auditioning community choir, we open up classical and choral music both to those who sing it and to the audiences who come to hear us.

Anyone is welcome of all abilities. A really fun and relaxed singing group, bringing the lovely community together. They sing a wide range of songs from 80’s hits to rock and pop ballads.

We are a mixed voice choir of around 50 singers drawn from Wantage and the surrounding area and in the last few years our concerts have included major works by Bach and Elgar (both with Abingdon & District Musical Society), Verdi (with Bicester Choral Society), Brahms, Mozart and Fauré and also American music by Copeland and Shearing – plus spirituals and jazz. Modern works have included the premiere of Didcot Haiku by Paul Burke, our previous Director of Music, works by Karl Jenkins and Bob Chilcott and in the summer concerts, in a change of tempo, songs from shows, films and opera.
